The event begins at 9:00 a.m. at the UNL East Campus Loop (42nd and Holdrege) in Lincoln, NE and benefits HearU and the UNL Student Academy of Audiology. Registration fee is $35 per person for ages 8 and up. Ages 7 and under are free.
The David Staenberg established the Smile Out Loud Foundation Scholarship in 2015 to support post-secondary education for students with dyslexia. A $650 scholarship is available. Eligible applicants must be a current graduating senior of a public or private high school in Lancaster County in Nebraska. Applicants must plan to attend any accredited two-year or four-year university or college. Applicants must demonstrate a confirmed condition of dyslexia.
