Description: The Nebraska Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSLHA) is launching a listening tour this Fall. We want you to join us at a Road Show in your region. This is a free event with free food and there will be 0.2 ASHA CEUs available.
Meet with your local state senators and your colleagues to learn about how being involved in advocacy makes an impact. Discuss issues that are vital to your profession, including: development of guidelines for hearing screenings for children in schools; Medicaid reimbursement for speech-language-hearing services; Medicaid managed care; caseloads; work requirements; coding changes; licensure; salaries and benefits; loan forgiveness and other incentives to attract and retain professionals in rural Nebraska.
